Using the Master Password within Firefox will help make your passwords much more secure.

Being diligent you of course want to make sure you don't use the same password from site to site. You want to mix it up. The problem there is I can never really remember which password I used with which site. So, of course you can use the built-in 'saved passwords' in Firefox--but they aren't encrypted by default.
